The people’s longroof — the Jetta and Golf SportWagen, the Golf Alltrack, the Passat wagon and more. Every VW wagon, grouped by model. Back to the Wagon Wiki.

Reading the table: Specs are for the representative volume trim of each generation unless noted. HP/Ton is computed (hp ÷ curb weight in US tons). Sources & Methodology

  • 1 Fuel economy, engine, transmission, drivetrain and cargo volume come from the U.S. Department of Energy / EPA (fueleconomy.gov). MPG is the median across a generation’s trims and model years, so a specific trim may differ. Cargo is EPA luggage volume, which uses a different standard than the manufacturer’s brochure figure.
  • 2 Horsepower, torque, weight, length, height and launch MSRP come from manufacturer specifications, cross-referenced with model documentation. Values marked ~ are approximate and still being verified against primary sources.
  • 3 0–60 mph times combine manufacturer figures and independent instrumented tests, and are marked ~ where not yet verified.
  • 4 Photographs come from Wikimedia Commons under free licenses (public domain, CC0, CC BY or CC BY-SA); click any photo to open its Commons source page with the photographer credit and license. Review links point to the original publication.
